Martha | Stenciling with Texture Paste & Gelatos

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a quick tutorial on how to use your stencil with Texture Paste and give your own color to this paste. To make this card, I used the Marrakech Medium Stencil ST-8011. Take a look at the card that I created using this stencil:

 Creating this was very simple:
  1. Take one piece of card stock Whisper White.
  2. Take the stencil Marrakech Medium ST-8011 and secure it over the paper using Rebecca Baer's Mini Masking Tape.
  3. Take the first color of gelato and apply it over a mat.
  4. Mix the color with a small amount of White Texture Paste.
  5. Apply the colored textured paste over the free areas of the stencil.
  6. Take the second color of gelato and repeat the process. You can use whatever colors you would like.
  7. Clean your palette between each application.
  8. After you finish remove the stencil and clean with water. Let the paper dry.
  9. Stamp your sentiment using a Pigment Ink and cover with Clear Embossing Powder. Melt with the heat tool. In my model, I used one stamp from the set Oh Baby of Joy Clair and the Electric Purple Neon Ink and Clear Embossing Powder from Imagine Crafts.
  10. To finalize the decoration, I created a Bow using the punch Bow Builder from Stampin Up and Wisteria Wonder card stock.
  11. Create the base of the card using Wisteria Wonder card stock. The size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2".
  12. Paste the decorated layer over the base of the card.
