Hello friends! Debbie with you today sharing a fun technique using a Rebecca Baer Stencil and Utee Embossing Powder. I used Rebecca's Jamboree Medium Stencil for this card. Rebecca's stencils are elegant and give projects a unique finish which is why I love them. She has so many different patterns filled with flourishes and vines and dragonflies and butterflies, something for everyone! Here is the card I made along with a step by step so you can give this a try.
The supplies I used are pictured here.
The first step is to cut a piece of white card stock to 5"x 5". This is the piece you will be working with. You will also need a coordinating Piece of card stock 5-1/2" x 5-1/2". The base of your card will be 6" x 6".
Place your white card stock down on a piece of plain paper and tape your stencil over it.
Using a VersaMark clear embossing pad go over the stencil. It doesn't have to be perfect you just want some random embossing.
Remove the stencil and clean it with a baby wipe or wet towel. Pour Utee thick embossing powder over your stenciled piece.
Heat set. Let dry completely. Your page will look like this after it's dry.
Using Distress ink and daubers you will rub each color over the embossing in a circular motion blending them as you go.
Here is what your card stock will look like when you're done adding the Distress Ink.
The final step is to die cut an oval, stamp a sentiment on it and using the same technique with the daubers and distress ink color the oval.
Add to your card and embellish as desired.
Thanks for stopping by Rebecca's blog today and be sure to stop by the Rebecca Baer Store and pick out some of her beautiful stencils for your projects!
