Martha | Stenciling with Gelatos

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a fun technique using our stencils. I made this card using the Rebecca Baer's Medium Mosaic Stencil ST-8019. These come in three different sizes and be used in different surfaces. In today's project I used them over a printed paper book page.

Here is how I created this card:
  1. Cut your Sahara Sand card base. The size is 4-1/4"x 11" and made score in 5-1/2".
  2. Take off one page of a printed book and paint it with white acrylic paint or gesso. Let it dry.

3. Take your favorite color of Gelato and paint with this directly over the paper. Smooth the color using your finger tips. You don't need to add water to the paper or gelato.

4. Secure your Rebecca Baer's Medium Mosaic Stencil over the stencil and using a wipe pass it easily over the free areas of the stencil.

5. Remove the stecil and let the paper dry. 6. Take the pad of WOW Embossing Pad and ink the entire surface applying the ink directly with the ink pad.

7. Cover the ink with WOW Clear Matt Dull Embossing Powder and melt with the heat tool. 8. Re-size your decorated paper according with the size of your card. I decided to have a second layer on Basic Black and use the decorated layer as third layer. The size of the second layer is 4-1/8"x5-3/8".

 9. To finalize your decoration you can use some die cuts and don't forget to stamp your sentiment. In my model I used the Botanical Builder Famelits Dies by Stampin Up for the border and flowers and the sentiment Hugs from the stamps set Hedge Hogtastic from Joy Clair Stamps. 10. Paste the decorated layer over the card base.
